DEMA FORMWORKS designs and manufactures cast in-situ moulds and formworks (or Cast in Place (CAP) Systems) to any specification and complexity such as traditional uprights, scaffolding and plywood and steel-based formworks, table formworks and climbing formwork systems in its product range.
Dema Formworks are able to shape your concrete as required whether it be wall and colmn slab and beam for residential and commercial applications or larger concrete in situ casting for bigger commercial and infrastructure projects such as roads and bridges. We offer in our product range traditional general propping, scaffolding and plywood and steel-based moulds, table systems and climbing formwork systems as well as specialist designed systems for horizontal or vertical casting.
DEMA FORMWORK whatever the design challenge, welcomes the opportunity to become your trusted solution partner in all your on-site casting projects

What is In-situ Casting ?

Cast in situ means any concrete structure or concrete part where the casting is completed at sit rather than offsite in a factory and then transported. The shape of the final concrete is cast at the actual site of placement and applies to many on site building methods as well as large castings of concrete where transport from a precast factory would be impossible or logistically prohibitive.

In-situ casting is a wide product range, but Cast-in-Situ Formworks or Moulds can be mainly classified as follows:

  • Climbing Moulds

Climbing Moulds are climbing formworks that allow concrete pouring at the desired height (usually two to four metres). These formworks stand on the scaffolding elements by means of removable hanger elements embedded in concrete. After casting, the Climbing Formworks Moulds are pulled upwards with the help of a crane to move to the next casting position and are connected again. There are also similar In-situ Casting Climbing Moulds types that climb with the help of hydraulic pistons. This system is a highly preferred system as it offers the opportunity to obtain a smooth concrete surface as well as reducing labour costs.

  • Wall Formworks

Wall Formworks have a system with Wall moulds and vertical hangers suitable for all kinds of concrete geometries. In addition to being an economical and easy system, Wall Formworks offer the opportunity to obtain a smooth surface and are also preferred because the elements used can be adapted to most other projects.

  • Column Moulds

Column Casting Mould Systems provide casting of columns with square, rectangular or round or special geometries. These moulds allow you to cast at the desired height in one go and by providing a smooth surface. Column Formwork is easy and economical to disassemble and assemble.

  • Head Beam Moulds

Header beam moulds provide easy and fast pouring of the header section of viaducts. The scaffolds on which they are fixed increase safety on high viaducts.

  • Stair Moulds

Stair Casting Moulds are mostly used for precast stairs. These Stair Moulds are used when on-site casting is required depending on the structural/static projects. Stair Formwork is attached by mechanically or chemically fixing the steel reinforcement bars to be placed in the Stair Moulds to the slab and or wall reinforcement where the Stair Mould is fixed and positioned prior to casting. Stair Moulds also offer the opportunity to additionally cast landings.
